    R. Alastair Short, 57

    CHAIRMAN OF THE INVESTMENT COMMITTEE

    Mr. Short has experience with professional asset management and investment organizations and direct, negotiated illiquid investments. He is the former President and co-Founder of Apex Capital Partners (a private equity firm), was Vice Chairman of W.P. Stewart & Co., is the former President and co-Founder of Matrix Global Investments, Inc., is an independent director, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Board's audit committee for the Van Eck Funds, is an independent director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Market Vector ETFs and is the sole independent director of certain Tremont Group Holdings offshore funds. He is also non-Executive Chairman of Value Line Asset Management and a director of Northvu Inc., a public company. Mr. Short has a B.A. degree from Queens University (Ontario), a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law (Toronto) and a Masters in Law from the Université de Paris II.

    Aaron Etra, 70

    VICE CHAIRMAN OF THE INVESTMENT COMMITTEE

    Mr. Etra is Chairman of the Board of The Molecutec Group, a life sciences organization and is Director of the International Council of ICMAN. Mr. Etra is the President and CEO of INDEVA Corporation, is a member of the Design and Zoning Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York and has served on the Board of Directors of TGFIN, a public company, and its predecessor company since 1995. Mr. Etra was founding chair of the African Affairs Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, taught law at Columbia and was a Senior Fellow in the Center for International Affairs at NYU. Mr. Etra has a B.A. degree from Yale, a J.D. from Columbia Law and a L.L.M. from NYU Law.

    Kevin D. Swanson, 53

    Mr. Swanson is a Senior Managing Director at Focus Capital, where he leads the practice for the Telecom, Media, and Technologies sectors. He brings over 25 years of investment banking and private equity experience and has completed transactions in excess of $100 billion in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and debt and equity financing. Previously, Mr. Swanson was a Partner at DMB Capital Partners LLC, a partner at Thomas Weisel Partners, a Managing Director and Head of Telecom at Banc of America Securities LLC, a Director at Wasserstein Perella Group, Inc. and Solomon Brothers and a partner at the private equity firm of Gibbons, Green, Van Amerongen. Mr. Swanson started his investment banking career at Goldman, Sachs. Mr. Swanson is FINRA Series 79 and 63 registered and holds a B.A. degree from the University of Chicago, a M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

    Michael Z. Allen, 37

    Mr. Allen is a founding principal of Atlantic Urban LLC, a New York City real estate services firm that provides advisory, asset, construction, and property management to institutional clients. Mr. Allen was a Managing Director of Northbrook Partners LLC, where he oversaw the acquisition and management of a portfolio of over $1 billion of New York City assets. He was previously an analyst at BlackRock Realty where he underwrote over $800 million in various asset types across the country and supervised the due diligence and closing of over $100 million of those properties. Mr. Allen has also worked as a consultant and lecturer at home and abroad. He holds B.S. degrees in Economics and Geography from The Ohio State University and a Master of City Planning degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Michael J.U. Monahan, 54

    Mr. Monahan is Vice Chairman at CB Richard Ellis, Inc. (previously Insignia). Mr. Monahan was the recipient of the Chairman's Award for four consecutive years before Insignia was acquired by CB Richard Ellis and has received similar recognition over the past five years as a top producer, as well as being the recipient of the Colbert Coldwell Circle award. Mr. Monahan has represented New York tenants in multiple major transactions, including Allianz Global Investors, SBC Warburg, TD Ameritrade, UBS, Morgan Stanley and Arch Insurance. Mr. Monahan has a B.A. degree from Marietta College.
